Name: Tracy Kimari
Occupation: Founder OffSpring
Describe to us your typical day at work?
On a typical day, I get to the office at 7.30am and respond to all pending work-related communications e.g. emails. I then catch up with my team for strategy and reporting. Later in the day, I proceed to our dispatch and collections center where I get to meet some of our clients and check on orders fulfilled. As the day comes to an end I like to take time to think.
What are you passionate about?
I am very passionate about children being raised in enabling environments. Everything we do at Offspring is to ensure this becomes a reality. The children are the future.
What do you see as the role of a woman in society?
Women play a very vital role in human progress. They are full members of society having their influence on all areas unconditionally.
I read this somewhere and I co-sign:
“no other person can play the role of another one, BUT those roles should not be defined by gender”
Tell us where you see yourself in 5 years.
In 5 years, OffSpring will be the biggest mom, baby and childcare brand in the region.
How can women support each other to grow?
A woman alone has power, collectively we have impact. Women should not only support each other, but act as connectors to people and opportunities. There is power in relationships that extends beyond a generic introduction. When we create connections based on shared interests and goals, we will all be more successful.
